About Me
My interest in Family History started in the 1970's. I was taking care of my grandmother (Elizabeth
Kluempke Tiemann) before she went into the nursing home.

We would sit and talk and she would tell me some stories about my ancestors. The one thing she said to
me was " I always wanted to write a book about my life". This is what started me on my quest to find out
about my family and one day write a book about it.

I have been doing research about 20 years and will continue. It is very rewarding to find an ancestor, or
break down that brick wall that you hit. I am not a certified genealogist, however, I do plan on taking
classes to get better at doing research.

Scrapbooking and Genealogy work hand in hand for me. After entering the information into my family
history program, I put copies of the documents into a scrapbook to preserve them for future family
historians.

I have done research at historical societies, on-line, cemeteries and at State records offices.

I have worked mostly in the clerical field. I have also made brochures and catalogs for advertising.

My major interest and lifelong hobby is and will always be genealogy.
